Nos tempos do Kichute

Nossa! Achei na internet agumas coisas que mencionavam o kichute. Para quem não lembra, não conhece ou nunca ouviu falar, trata- se (será que ainda existe?) de um calçado; misto de chuteira e tênis, da cor preta, que foi o maior sucesso calçadístico*  da década de 70. Possuía um cadarço longo(por que será?), que  se amarrava no tornozelo ou por baixo do tenis/chuteira. Lembro-me que meu pai comprou vários para mim. Era quase obrigatório usar na escola. Lembro-me também que era feio; nossa! Como era feio o tal do kichute; algumas poucas  meninas também usavam; certamente incentivadas pelos pais que viam no calçado preto algo bom e barato. Sua resistência era famosa; aguentava o ano inteiro, as aulas de educação física, que sempre terminavam em peladas e as peladas fora do horário das aulas. Mas o tenizinho desbotava; não poderia lavar muito pois ele ia desbotando e ficando ainda mais feio. Então, como nosso pai só comprava um kichute ao ano, a solução era passar graxa de sapato no kichute e deixar o bichinho todo preto. Não lembro de ter rasgado nenhum; o máximo que acontecia era o cadarço arrebentar, mas como era imenso, era só emendar e pronto. Ou então usar pela metade mesmo. As travas do kichute  com o tempo ficavam gastas, mas ainda assim o calçado resistia bravamente; e se estivesse em condições no próximo ano, ou nosso pé não tivesse crescido, o usaríamos de novo. Ou seria doado ao irmão mais novo. Lembrei-me de quando fui escoteiro do mar; o uniforme era bermuda azul, igual ao uniforme da Marinha, com boné de marinheiro, aquele sem aba e o calçado...  um kichute. Não tinha jeito de ficar longe do calçado preto. Na época era muito comum também ver os garis da prefeitura usando o kichute. O tal calçado chegou a vender 9 milhões de pares na época, mais ou menos 10% do total da população do Brasil na época. Recentemente tentaram fazer um revival do Kichute, com versões coloridas; mas sinceramente, não compraria nenhuma versão.
